As part of its ongoing efforts to promote public health and improve the quality of life, Future Mirrors for Human Development Organization has launched a new awareness campaign under the slogan “Combating Mosquitoes for a Safe and Healthy Environment”. The campaign aims to reduce the spread of mosquitoes and combat mosquito-borne diseases in the city of Aden.

The campaign was launched in Inmaa City, located in Al-Buraiqeh District, targeting Al-Hiswa Nature Reserve and nearby green areas close to residential neighborhoods, with the goal of eliminating mosquito breeding grounds and reducing their impact on the local population.

During the campaign’s inauguration event, Ms. Ruqayya Ahmed, Executive Director of the organization, explained that this initiative is part of the “Quality of Life Improvement Program”, and will run for a full one-month period, including various field and awareness activities targeting different segments of the community.

Ms. Ahmed emphasized that the campaign is designed to raise public awareness about effective mosquito prevention methods, such as eliminating stagnant water sources, cleaning polluted areas, and minimizing environments conducive to insect breeding. The campaign also includes the distribution of informative brochures containing practical health and safety tips.

She further stressed the importance of collaboration between civil society and local authorities to ensure the sustainability of these efforts and achieve tangible results. She stated:

At Future Mirrors, we believe that public health is a shared responsibility. Through this campaign, we aim to encourage active community participation to create a safe, mosquito-free environment for all.

Future Mirrors for Human Development calls on all citizens to support the campaign’s success by following health guidelines and cooperating in environmental cleaning and awareness activities — all in pursuit of a healthier, safer community.
